Location: Hybrid - Belfast
Level: Mid-level

We're seeking a skilled Backend Software Engineer to join a fast-growing global fintech delivering high-performance data solutions to clients worldwide. You will work on backend services, microservices, and cloud-based applications that support critical financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using TypeScript, C#, Java, or other OOP languages
• Design and manage SQL and NoSQL databases and microservices architecture
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and GraphQL services
• Implement infrastructure as code with Terraform
• Work within AWS cloud ecosystem (Lambda, Fargate, API Gateway, AppSync)
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines, containerization, automated testing, and Agile practices

Requirements

• Professional experience as a backend developer with strong programming skills in TypeScript or other OOP languages
• Experience with microservices, cloud platforms (AWS), APIs, and database systems
• Knowledge of Agile delivery, version control (Git), and testing practices
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate across team
