Baby Room Leader

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Three full days and two half days. Full days: 7:30am-6:30pm or 8:30am-5:30pm. Half days: 7:30am-1:30pm or 12:30pm-6:30pm.
You will be working in a well-established private day nursery caring for children from birth to five years, leading the Baby room and supporting the youngest children in the setting. The nursery provides a light, airy and secure environment, with an in-house kitchen preparing fresh meals each day, a secure outdoor playground and a natural adventure area.
You will be joining an established team and will have the opportunity to develop your career further, with support available towards Level 4 and Level 5 qualifications. Previous Baby room and Room Leader experience is essential for this role.

- At least 2 years' nursery experience
- Previous experience as a Room Leader, with experience working in a Baby room
- Strong understanding of the EYFS and early child development
- Clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
- Confident communication and leadership skills
- Lead the day-to-day running of the Baby room
- Support and develop a consistent, nurturing approach to babies' care and learning
- Plan and deliver appropriate activities in line with the EYFS
- Act as a key person and ensure children's individual needs are understood and supported
- Oversee observations, assessments and learning records within the room
- Support and guide colleagues to maintain high standards of care and practice
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding children's development and wellbeing
