Azure Engineer - Day Rate Contract

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure Platform Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Azure infrastructure solutions to support Softcat's cloud computing needs. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Azure services, strong problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record of implementing robust and scalable infrastructure solutions.

As Azure Platform Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

• Designing, deploying, and managing Azure infrastructure solutions, ensuring they meet organisational requirements and industry best practices
• Implementing and maintaining Azure Virtual Networks, VMs, Storage Accounts, and other related services. Working closely with the Data Services team to understand and plan infrastructure requirements for our analytics platform
• Maintaining the infrastructure for the existing base analytics platform using Terraform
• Working closely with administrators of on-premise infrastructure to ensure seamless operations

We'd love you to have

• Proven experience as an Azure Platform Engineer or similar role
• Hands-on experience with Azure services, including but not limited to Virtual Machines, Azure Active Directory, Azure Networking, and Storage
• Terraform
