About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to join a technology-driven organisation that is investing heavily in cloud transformation and platform engineering.
In this role, you will play a key part in designing, building and supporting secure, scalable and resilient Azure environments. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to implement cloud best practices, automate infrastructure and contribute to the continuous evolution of the cloud platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Ensure cloud environments meet security, governance and compliance requirements.
- Drive cloud best practices around scalability, reliability, performance and cost optimisation.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform.
- Support automation initiatives and modern deployment practices.
- Contribute to CI/CD processes and cloud platform improvements.
- Evaluate and implement new Azure services and technologies where appropriate.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and cloud-related issues.
- Collaborate with architects, developers and operational teams to deliver reliable cloud solutions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and standards.
- Stay up to date with emerging cloud technologies and industry best practices.
Your Profile
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
- Strong experience designing and supporting production-grade Azure environments.
- Proven expertise with Infrastructure as Code, preferably using Terraform.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation practices.
- Knowledge of GitHub Actions is considered a strong asset.
- Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) is a plus.
- Knowledge of Azure API Management (APIM) is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud governance, security frameworks and operational best practices.
- Experience with ISO 27001 and/or NIS2 requirements is a strong advantage.
- Good understanding of software engineering and DevOps principles.
- Affinity with software development, preferably within Java-based environments, is considered a plus.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Professional proficiency in English.
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and learning.
