Azure Cloud Engineer (Senior, Hands On)

Role Overview

Our client is looking for a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to support and maintain its Azure environment. This is a hands on delivery role with responsibility for cloud operations, DevOps tooling, and deployment, alongside mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and support live Azure environments
• Build, run, and improve Azure DevOps pipelines
• Manage deployments and release processes
• Ensure stability, performance, and security of cloud infrastructure
• Support onboarding and train/upskill junior engineers
• Act as a practical, reliable delivery resource rather than an architecture only role

Required Experience

• Strong hands on experience as an Azure Cloud Engineer
• Solid experience with Azure DevOps tooling and CI/CD
• Experience running and maintaining production Azure environments
• Strong understanding of MS365 driven cloud ecosystems
• Senior enough to mentor others while remaining hands on
• Microsoft centric skillset essential

Nice to Have

• Experience in regulated, secure, or mission critical environments
• Infrastructure as Code exposure (e.g. ARM, Bicep, Terraform)
