• Salary Range: £35,000 - £45,000 basic per annum (DOE) + team performance incentive (An active MOT Tester licence is a strong bonus and can increase your basic starting pay rate!)

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Execute core mechanical repairs, including timing chains/belts, clutch kits, engine overhauls, and gearbox replacements
• Use multi-brand diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical faults accurately
• Complete routine servicing, safety inspections, brake/suspension repairs, and pre-MOT health checks
• Document clear technical details on job cards and keep service desk staff updated on repair progress
• Maintain clean working bays and follow standard workshop safety procedures

What We Need From You

• Experience: Time-served mechanic with solid confidence in heavy mechanical repair work and diagnostic fault isolation
• Qualifications: Level 3 NVQ / IMI in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent time-served garage background)
• MOT Status: MOT Smart Card / active MOT Tester licence is preferred (with enhanced starting pay potential), but is not essential to apply
• Mindset: Dependable, detail-oriented technician focused on clean workmanship and first-time fixes
• Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence
