Automation Tester

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Automation Tester to join our team and ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in test planning, execution, automation, and API testing, with experience in Agile methodologies and CI/CD environments. This role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Planning & Design:
  • Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies aligned with project requirements.
  • Design detailed test cases covering functional, integration, and regression scenarios.
• Test Execution & Reporting:
  • Execute manual and automated tests, ensuring complete coverage and accuracy.
  • Perform API testing and validate system integration across multiple platforms.
  • Document and report test results, highlighting defects and risks.
• Automation Framework Development:
  • Develop and modify automation frameworks to support evolving project needs.
  • Enhance existing frameworks for scalability, maintainability, and performance.
• Release & CI/CD Support:
  • Assess release readiness and participate in CI/CD deployment cycles.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth and timely releases.
• Agile Practices:
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (Daily Stand ups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives).
  • Contribute to PI Planning and provide accurate Agile test estimations.
• Defect Management:
  • Lead defect triage sessions, prioritize fixes, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain defect logs and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Work closely with product owners, developers, and business analysts to clarify requirements and ensure quality standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Certifications:
  • ISTQB or equivalent.
• Testing Expertise:
  • API Testing, Automation & Manual Testing.
• Programming & Tools:
  • Java, JUnit, Mockito, WireMock, Selenium, Cucumber, OpenPOJO, RestAssured, PACT.
  • Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins, IntelliJ.

Desired Skills

• Docker, Kubernetes, Kibana, Dynatrace, Grafana, SonarQube, Swagger.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and mentor junior testers.
