Job Description
Automation Software Engineer (Siemens) - 12 Months - Immediate Start
(Ghent area), Belgium
- Develop and implement automation solutions across industrial projects
- Program and configure:
- PLCs (Siemens TIA Portal/PCS 7)
- Motion control systems (gearing, camming)
- Drives (Siemens, SEW, Danfoss)
- HMI/SCADA systems
- Lead or contribute to machine start-up and commissioning on-site
- Support revamp projects and optimisation of existing production lines
- Work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and customers
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in:
- Automation/Electrical Engineering/Electromechanics
- 3-10+ years experience in industrial automation software
- Strong experience with:
- Motion control (gearing, camming)
- PLC programming and industrial software
- Experience with drives (Siemens, SEW, Danfoss)
- Proactive, structured, and solution-oriented approach
- SCADA knowledge
- Experience in machine building or system integration
- Fluent Dutch (essential)
- Basic French is a plus
