As an Automation Engineer you will interact with both internal colleagues and external suppliers to develop, implement and support automated solutions and applications across the organisation. Location Leeds Salary £34,297 to £37,726 Type Fixed Term Contract until 31/12/2026 About the Role As an Automation Engineer, you'll play a key role in advancing SPW's strategic goals by helping to streamline processes and enhance client service through automation. You'll be part of our Cloud Engineering team, which manages cloud infrastructure, collaborative tools and SaaS applications. Within this team, our Automation function is focused on developing and implementing Automation and AI capabilities to improve efficiency across the business.We're looking for someone who's passionate about technology, eager to learn, and excited to contribute to a collaborative and forward-thinking team. Key Focus Supporting, monitoring, and maintaining Power Automate solutions. What You'll Be Doing Monitoring and managing Power Automate flows to ensure reliability and performance Responding to incidents and applying minor configuration changes Maintaining documentation and operational inventories Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to resolve issues Supporting the development of our Automation Centre of Excellence Platform Technical Experience Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform for automation and process improvement Understanding of MS365 tools (Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business) Exposure to Office Engineering (Telemetry, Add-On management & governance) Experience or interest in scripting/coding (PowerShell, Power Platform, GraphAPI, JSON, Terraform) Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence Enthusiasm for process improvement using Automation and AI Skills & Attributes Interest in working within cross-functional technical teams Willingness to develop incident management and resolution skills Strong problem-solving mindset and stakeholder engagement Self-motivated with a desire to grow and learn Team-oriented with a positive and proactive approachWe understand not everyone will meet 100% of the requirements, however we encourage you to apply if you think your skills are a good fit for this role.This job vacancy may close earlier than the advertised date if a suitable candidate is found.
