Job Title: Teaching Assistant/Autism Practitioner
Location: Baston House School, Bromley, Kent BR2 7AB
Salary: £23,500 per annum ( not pro rata )
Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 8.30am-4.30pm
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only
Start: October 2025

As part of our continued growth, we're delighted to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant/Autism Practitioner to join our dedicated, close-knit team at Baston House School, part of the Options Autism family.
About the Role
As an Teaching Assistant/Autism Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting our pupils' learning, development, and wellbeing. You will work closely with class teachers and the multidisciplinary team to ensure that each student receives high-quality, personalised support tailored to their needs.
This is a rewarding role for someone passionate about empowering young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support class teachers or tutors to deliver high-quality education for all students.
- Assist in implementing all relevant education policies and procedures fully and effectively.
- Provide individual and group support to students, helping them access the curriculum as independently as possible.
- Promote the physical, educational, and moral development of students in line with company policies.
- Ensure efficient use, storage, and maintenance of classroom equipment and resources.
- Organise the classroom environment, including resources, student groupings, and displays, to create a stimulating, ASD-friendly learning space.
- Collaborate with teachers to write, update, implement, and evaluate individual student documentation, including Behaviour Support Profiles (BSP), Individual Risk Assessments, Individual Education Plans, Communication Profiles, and Pastoral Support Plans.

You'll work 80% of your contractual hours for 100% of your pay, giving you more time to do the things that make you happy. 4DWW is subject to successful completion of probation and is not a contractual benefit
