Sheridan Maine is partnering with a well-established accountancy practice near Chelmsford to recruit an Audit & Accounts Semi-Senior / Senior. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to a broad client portfolio while developing technical expertise in a supportive and collaborative environment.Key Duties of the Audit & Accounts Semi-Senior / Senior:

• Lead and assist audits across a varied client base, including SMEs and owner-managed businesses.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts and management accounts.
• Supervise, mentor, and support junior team members, providing technical guidance.
• Liaise directly with clients, partners, and directors, building strong professional relationships.
• Support practice development initiatives and contribute to advisory work.

Requirements for the Audit & Accounts Semi-Senior / Senior:

• ACA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualified.
• Experience in an accountancy practice, ideally within audit and accounts.
• Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and accounts preparation.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
• Motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
