Attendance Officer

School Attendance Officer - Haringey (Ongoing Temporary Role)Hours: 8:00am - 4:15pm, Monday to FridayStart: ASAPLocation: Haringey, North LondonContract Type: Ongoing TemporaryKey Responsibilities

• Monitor and track daily student attendance and punctuality.
• Use SIMS (School Information Management System) to record, update, and analyse attendance data.
• Follow up on unexplained absences through calls, emails, and letters to parents/carers.
• Produce attendance reports for senior leadership and pastoral teams.
• Work closely with safeguarding and pastoral staff to identify attendance concerns early.
• Maintain accurate, confidential records in line with GDPR requirements.
• Support the wider admin team when needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar school-based attendance role (essential).
• Strong working knowledge of SIMS for attendance management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a confidential, fast-paced school environment.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Availability to work full-time, 8:00am-4:15pm.
