A high-performing, ambitious secondary school in Islington is looking for a driven and highly organised Attendance & Education Welfare Officer to lead and further develop its already successful attendance strategy.
Why This Role Stands Out
Attendance isn't treated as a back-office task here - it's a core driver of success.
The school has recently implemented a transformational attendance system, placing it among the top-performing schools nationally for attendance.

-
Outstanding leadership and clear expectations
-
A culture built on high standards, inclusion, and student success
-
A proven track record of developing graduates and support staff into senior roles
-
A calm, focused learning environment where behaviour is strong
This is a place where staff are trusted, developed, and genuinely valued.
Who They're Looking For
-
Strong organisational and communication skills
-
Ability to build relationships with students, families, and staff
-
Resilience, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset
-
Experience working with young people or in education (desirable, not essential)

A graduate or aspiring professional looking to build a career in education, safeguarding, or pastoral leadership
Why Apply?

Salary: £30,500 - £34,300 (term-time + additional week)

Clear progression into pastoral leadership, safeguarding, or senior roles
-
Ideal stepping stone into careers such as teaching, social work, or educational leadership
