ATR 42 Captain - Direct Entry (Type Rating Provided)

The opportunity

As a Direct Entry Captain on the ATR 42, you will lead safe, efficient, and passenger focused operations while championing SOPs and a just safety culture. You will set the tone on the flight deck, guide your crew with clarity, and make sound decisions to deliver a reliable operation every day.

What you'll do

• Operate ATR 42 sectors to the highest safety and compliance standards across all phases of flight.
• Lead and mentor the flight and cabin crew, fostering strong CRM and teamwork.
• Exercise decisive judgement under pressure, balancing operational, commercial, and safety priorities.
• Maintain rigorous adherence to company SOPs, regulatory requirements, and best practice.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, engineering, ATC, and ground operations to ensure on time, efficient performance.

Minimum requirements

• License Required: ATPL
• Accepted Licenses: UK CAA
• Medical: Class 1
• ICAO ELP level: 4 (minimum)
• Type rating: Not required - training provided
• Preferred: Valid ATR 42/72 type rating
• Currency: Currently or recently operated in command on a multi crew aircraft (MTOW > 10t or 19+ pax)
• Right to work: Right to live and work in the UK
• Visa sponsorship: Not provided

Training and onboarding

NTR candidates are welcome. Comprehensive ATR 42 type rating and line training are provided, building on your existing command experience to ensure a smooth transition to our operation.
