Associate Town Planner

Overview

Associate Planner - planning consultancy in York. Sitting between the Senior Planners and the Head of Planning, this role offers a pivotal position with clear progression opportunities.

You will be working in the private sector, ideally bringing recent experience of leading projects and working directly with clients. You will be a Chartered Town Planner, ready to take the next step and play a central part in shaping the consultancy's future growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied workload with the bulk of current projects focused on large-scale data centres.
• Help broaden the client base and bring in work across other sectors.
• Act as the crucial bridge between the team of 6 Planners (including 2 Seniors and a Head of Planning) and support juniors while working closely with the Head to deliver complex projects.
• Deliver projects to the required quality and timescales, contributing to the consultancy future growth.
• Participate in client liaison and project leadership in the private sector setting.
• Embrace flexible working: 37.5-hour week with the option to structure hours to suit you, clients, and team. Fixed office days are Mondays and Thursdays.

Qualifications

• Chartered Town Planner.
• Private sector experience with a track record of leading projects and working directly with clients.
• Experience in managing multiple projects and contributing to business development.
• Willingness to step up within a consultancy and help shape its growth.

Compensation and Contact

Salary: £50,000-£65,000, depending on experience, with progression opportunities.
