Job Description

Supporting the design, management and communication of multi-asset solutions across both public and private markets.

The team run a broad range of portfolios for institutional and retail clients. We are also responsible for understanding client challenges and designing compelling solutions for them that can be implemented efficiently to meet their unique circumstances.

The team has a broad investment remit that includes both strategic portfolio design, investing in internally and externally managed active and passive strategies, and the tactical implementation of shorter-term ideas. Consequently, we seek someone to support our team of experienced portfolio managers that will cover a range of different projects across various assets classes.

The person who will be successful in this role will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes initiative, is a continuous learner, and is able to prioritize tasks for themselves and others.

Primary tasks

  • Liaising with distribution to be the first port of call for more technical client enquiries
  • Manage and update client regular reporting output (monthly, quarterly, annual), including product presentations, performance and positioning updates - working in partnership with presentation, client relationship and compliance teams.
  • Create adhoc presentations and other material for existing and prospective clients using internal sources for information - Performance, Exposure, Macro outlook and valuations.
  • Interact with clients in face-to-face or on-line meetings, explaining current team views, fund performance and positioning.
  • Developing and creating enhancements to client reporting. Synthesizing numerous inputs into clear, concise materials that enable clients to understand how we are managing their money.
  • Input into the investment process via fundamental research and expressing views.

Additional responsibilities

  • Assist portfolio managers with data analysis to support decision making.
  • Input into the design of new solutions, combining sales requirements and internal capabilities
  • Review specialist portfolio managers across equities, credit and alternatives that are underlying components of our multi-asset strategies.

To be successful in this role you will have

  • Strong verbal and written presentation skills.
  • Keen to build relationships both internally and externally.
  • Data analysis and quantitative skills required to collate and manipulate data to form clear insights.
  • Ability to work on a broad range of tasks often with tight deadlines.
  • Be able to adapt and manage time effectively should markets or client requirements require this.
  • Interest in learning more about financial markets, investment strategies and the asset management business.
  • Aptitude with Microsoft Office and an ability to quickly learn specialized investment systems.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness, and a cooperative can-do attitude.


It would be great if you also had

  • Experience using Aladdin, in particular Explore.
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg functionality including Excel API.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Power BI.
