We are seeking skilled, compassionate health professionals to work as Associate Neurodevelopmental Practitioners, delivering evidence-based autism and ADHD assessments for children and young people.

The Role

As an Associate Neurodevelopmental Practitioner working through Reed, you will carry out comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessments for children and young people.

Face-to-face elements of assessment (such as ADOS-2) will take place at designated Norfolk sites, with other components delivered remotely, offering excellent flexibility.

Typical Assessment Activities Include:

  • Parental/developmental history interviews using structured tools (e.g. ADI-R, ACE, ACE+, DIVA/Young DIVA)
  • Play-based or activity-based sessions with children and young people
  • ADOS-2 assessments
  • QBCheck
  • Cognitive assessments (e.g., WISC-V, WAIS-IV - for Psychology applicants only)
  • School observations and liaison with education professionals
  • Additional psychometric assessments
  • Participation in MDT meetings
  • Producing high-quality, comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessment reports

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency with G Suite
  • Experience using clinical Practice Management Systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • An empathic, child-centred approach
  • Ability to clearly communicate assessment outcomes
  • Experience undertaking autism and/or ADHD assessments
  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary team

Qualifications

Essential

  • HCPC registration and/or a professional qualification in:
    • Psychology
    • Nursing
    • Speech and Language Therapy
    • Occupational Therapy
  • ADOS-2 training
  • Experience conducting developmental history interviews
  • Experience in neurodevelopmental assessments (autism and/or ADHD)

Desirable

  • ADI-R training
  • DIVA or Young DIVA training
