Job Description
The Associate Field Services Technology Manager will provide IT leadership under the direction of the Senior Cluster IT Manager - Region (North). Responsibilities include ownership of all hotel technology that can be exposed to cyber threats, ensuring compliance with Corporate IT Standards, creating and following project plans, providing business solutions, engaging with IT service providers, selecting and approving third party solutions, troubleshooting IT problems, and supporting local leadership in delivering optimal IT support and security services.
Mobility: The role requires traveling across multiple Hilton branded hotels in the Midlands, Bedfordshire and Cambridge area, with occasional national and international travel.
Flexibility: The position may require working outside regular business hours due to the 24/7 nature of hotel operations.
Reporting to: Senior Cluster IT Manager - Regions (North)
Key Responsibilities- Plan and develop technical vision and strategic plans for properties, aligning with owner, brand and management objectives.
- Assist in creating annual IT budgets and financial plans.
- Research, analyze and propose technology business opportunities.
- Maintain documentation on IT licenses, contracts and infrastructure.
- Support career development and succession planning.
- Prepare monthly IT reports.
- Participate in departmental meetings and communicate effectively within the hotel teams.
- Execute change initiatives, vendor engagement and IT project delivery.
- Maintain IT hardware, servers and LAN infrastructure, ensuring compliance with security tools.
- Log support calls in ServiceNow, monitor tickets and escalations.
- Lead GDPR and other compliance efforts, monitor vulnerability scans and implement firewall rules.
- Ensure internal controls, user access and IT policies are followed.
- Provide training, support and occasional travel for specialized support.
- A university degree or relevant work experience.
- Experience in the hospitality industry.
- In depth knowledge of Microsoft operating systems.
- Microsoft or Cisco certification preferred.
- Experience administering Windows Server/Workstation environments with multiple domains.
- Knowledge of network infrastructure: cabling, wireless, switches, WAN/LAN, AD, firewalls, VPNs.
- Experience with hospitality applications such as PMS, POS, keycard, PBX, voicemail.
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
- University degree in Information Technology.
- Extensive experience in hospitality operations and IT support.
- MCSA, MCTS, MCITP, MCDST or equivalent certifications.
- Experience with networking and security standards in a multi domain environment.
