About the job

Overview

Our client, a well-regarded international law firm, is seeking to expand its private wealth disputes capability in London with the addition of junior to mid-level lawyers. The team is recognised for advising on sophisticated, high-value disputes involving private capital, often with a cross-border dimension.

This is an opportunity to join a growing and strategically important practice area within the firm, offering early exposure to complex matters, meaningful responsibility, and close collaboration with senior lawyers. The environment supports career development and encourages individuals to take an active role in shaping their progression.

Team

The disputes group sits within a broader private wealth offering and works closely with non-contentious colleagues as well as other complementary practice areas across the firm.

It has a strong reputation in leading legal directories and is known for advising ultra-high net worth individuals, family offices and trustees on complex disputes.

Work is often international in nature, with a notable focus on matters involving multiple jurisdictions, including a strong flow of instructions connected to Asia, as well as longstanding relationships with prominent domestic families. The team also has experience handling disputes involving tax-related issues across borders.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Taking ownership of key elements of cases, with appropriate supervision
  • Contributing to legal analysis and overall dispute strategy
  • Drafting clear and precise legal documents and client advice
  • Reviewing and assessing evidential material and preparing for hearings and trial
Candidate Profile
  • England & Wales qualified solicitor
  • 2 to 5 years' post-qualification experience in disputes, ideally with exposure to private wealth or trusts litigation
  • Background gained at a recognised law firm with a strong disputes practice
