Job Description

Associate Director of Finance

London (hybrid working, with occasional travel to other locations)

The Role

They are looking for an Associate Director of Finance to join them on a full-time, permanent basis.

You will lead the Finance team in addition to leading on several aspects of Finance. You will also contribute to all areas of the organisation, using effective analysis to challenge assumptions and to support key decision making as they strive to achieve their strategic enablers.

Assisting in the preparation and implementation of a trustee approved financial strategy and plan, you will provide strategic direction to long-term financial planning. You will also review, develop and improve financial policies and procedures as well as creating and monitoring financial risk management policies and internal controls.

Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the Finance function which will include leading, motivating and developing the Finance Team.

Your role will also involve:

- Leading monthly and year-end reporting, including P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow oversight

- Reviewing financial policies and procedures to support internal controls and efficiency

- Managing financial risk, liquidity, investments, and supplier relationships

- Supporting the improvement and implementation of finance systems and reporting tools

- Attending key committees and collaborate closely with executive leadership and stakeholders

Person Specification

To be considered, you will need:

- To be a qualified accountant with a minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience

- Experience in a broad financial role within an SME and/or group environment

- Experience managing and developing a finance team

- Strong leadership and operational management capabilities

- Commercial awareness and strategic thinking

- Excellent communication and relationship management skills

- Confidence in presenting complex data clearly and effectively

- The ability to drive results and adapt to changing needs
