Job Summary About the Role

Movar is seeking an Associate Director Data Scientist with extensive leadership experience in AI and advanced analytics. You will oversee data science delivery across multiple client programmes, shape Movar's AI strategy, and drive commercial growth through innovation and client relationships. You will combine strategic leadership with deep technical expertise in AI and machine learning, ensuring Movar remains at the forefront of applied AI whilst building a world class data science capability.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee data science and AI delivery across multiple high value client engagements.
• Define AI and data science strategy aligned with Movar's business objectives and market opportunities.
• Build and maintain senior client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on AI transformation and advanced analytics.
• Drive business development through AI thought leadership, proposal development, and innovative solution design.
• Establish data science standards, MLOps frameworks, and responsible AI practices across the organisation.
• Lead recruitment, development, and performance management of data science professionals.
• Shape the future of Movar's AI capabilities, including Generative AI, agentic systems, and emerging AI technologies.
• Represent Movar at industry events and contribute to thought leadership in AI, machine learning, and data science.

What You'll Bring

• Hands on professional experience in data science or AI, with significant leadership responsibility.
• Proven track record of leading data science teams and delivering transformative AI solutions in consulting environments.
• Strong commercial acumen, with experience in business development, client management, and P&L accountability.
• Deep expertise in AI and machine learning, particularly Generative AI and production ML systems.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with ability to communicate AI strategies and outcomes to C suite executives.
• Strategic vision combined with hands on technical ability and thought leadership in AI.
• Experience building and scaling high performing data science teams.
