Connect to your opportunity As an Associate Director in Capital Market Operations & Domain Solutions, you will lead complex and challenging projects within the Capital Markets industry, with a focus on digital transformation, risk and controls enhancement, regulatory change, and technology delivery.
You will have the opportunity to learn and grow by using the practice's sophisticated tools and methodologies, whilst also having the chance to work with and learn from some of the top practitioners in our firm.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of the capital markets operations industry, including the full trade lifecycle. In addition, you should have experience in leading complex change work, particularly in one of the following areas: transformation, risk & controls, regulatory change, and/or technology delivery. This experience will enable you to translate your findings into tangible solutions.
You should also be able to demonstrate strong existing client relationships, contribute innovative ideas, and manage change and ambiguity effectively and confidently. Your existing industry and project management experience will be critical and will support both your development in the team and your ability to help develop a high performing team around you. We will provide you with the appropriate support to continually develop yourself, add real value and build credibility.
Assignments will be focused on aspects of:
Internally, you will be responsible for owning and driving the growth of a client facing proposition and leading business development work.
To qualify for the role you should demonstrate strong operations knowledge and change experience within capital markets. This includes:

- Business architecture
- Digital and process transformation
- Controls efficiency and automation
- Regulatory impact assessment, gap analysis, design and implementation
- Designing and implementing operating models;
- Analysing the cost base of banks / functions to identify cost reduction opportunities;
- Performing process transformation using various methods e.g. traditional lean methods, process mining, intelligent automation, analytics etc;
- Large scale technology programmes;
- Performing regulatory impact assessments, gap analysis, design and implementations;
- Translating regulatory requirements into tangible business transformation and improvements to ensure robust controls

To qualify for the role you should demonstrate strong operations knowledge and change experience within capital markets. This includes:
- Experience of leading change projects within a major Capital Markets or equivalent institution.
- Experience of managing large engagements and teams.
- Strong existing relationships with senior individuals at Capital Markets institutions to help drive sales.
- Deep technical or business line experience in at least one key area in Capital Markets - e.g., Front Office, Client Onboarding, Reconciliations, Settlements, Collateral Management etc.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience presenting to executive level stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to clearly structure analysis.
- Strong understanding and experience of the project management lifecycle.
- Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills.
- Proven change management and change delivery ability in one of the following areas (Digital Transformation, Risk & Regulatory Change, Technology Delivery):
- Experience of leading teams to develop cost models and business cases.
- Experience of leading teams to deliver process transformation initiatives, including an understanding of process optimisation techniques.
- Knowledge of process intelligence tooling (process mining, communications mining etc.).
- Experience of leading teams to design and implement operating models.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and their application in Capital Markets (e.g., GenAI, analytics, process automation).
- Strong knowledge of the UK and European financial regulatory environment.
- Strong knowledge of first and second line of defence functions and the front-to-back risk management framework, including a deep understanding of non-financial risks (e.g., operational risk, conduct risk).
- Strong understanding of risk from an operating model, process, controls, and regulatory perspective.
- Experience of leading teams on large regulatory remediation programmes, such as MIFID, Brexit, FRTB, T+1 accelerated settlement, Consent Order etc.
- Experience of leading teams on global regulatory reporting remediation programmes, such as CFTC, MiFID and EMIR etc.
- Experience of leading teams to develop enhanced controls to mitigate identified risks.
- Deep understanding of how technology architecture supports the F2B trade lifecycle e.g. understanding of pre-trade systems, risk management systems, post trade systems etc.
- Experience of leading technology delivery and implementations using agile methodologies.
- Experience of leading teams to analyse large data sets (e.g. trade data) and use industry standard tooling e.g. Alteryx, PowerBI, Tableau.
- Experience in Test Management and Event Management or equivalent.
