Associate Structural Engineer - Steel Specialist
Location: Ideally London-based, but open to candidates across the UK International travel required
A specialist engineering solutions provider, backed by a global powerhouse in construction and manufacturing, is expanding into the European market. We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Structural Engineer with deep expertise in steel structures to play a pivotal role in this exciting growth journey.
This is a career-defining opportunity for an ambitious professional: UK-based (ideally Manchester, though flexible across the UK), with regular travel to the Middle East including Saudi Arabia, Dubai, and beyond. You will not only deliver on high-profile projects but also help build and lead a UK-based design team, while coordinating design offices across the MENA region.
Job Description- Play a pivotal role in the design and analysis of complex steel structures.
- Build, mentor, and lead a UK-based design team.
- Oversee and coordinate structural design offices across the MENA region.
- Ensure technical excellence and compliance with international steel design codes and standards.
- Contribute to the strategic growth and success of the business in Europe and beyond.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on steel structures; Master's Degree preferred.
- Graduate of a Russell Group university (e.g., Bath, Sheffield, Liverpool, Imperial, etc.).
- At least 10 years of proven experience in steel structural design and analysis.
- Chartered Engineer status (ICE or IStructE) is highly desirable.
- Proficient in industry-standard software, including SAP2000, STAAD PRO, IDEA StatiCa, RAM Connection, HILTI, and Tekla.
- Strong knowledge of international steel design codes and standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Confident working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead teams across multiple regions.
