A rare opportunity has arisen for an Associate Director or Planning Director to join a high-performing Birmingham planning team. This role offers a genuine leadership platform, combining project delivery, client management and team growth responsibilities.
The team works on a wide range of major residential, commercial and regeneration schemes across the Midlands and nationally.
The RoleThis is a senior leadership position with significant influence across the business.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading major development projects from inception through to delivery
- Acting as a trusted advisor to key developer and landowner clients
- Driving business development and generating new work
- Managing and developing a team of planners
- Supporting recruitment and team growth strategy
- Overseeing project financial performance
- Representing clients at inquiries, hearings and examinations
- Supporting Directors in shaping long term business strategy
This position offers a clear route into senior leadership within the business.
About You- MRTPI qualified (essential)
- Strong track record delivering major planning projects
- Experience operating at Associate or Director level
- Proven ability to win work and develop client relationships
- Strong leadership and team management experience
- Commercially astute with strong financial awareness
