A global leader in engineering and design consultancy, is seeking an Associate Director to join their Technology Consulting team, specialising in smart buildings, digital infrastructure, and ICT systems. This is a strategic leadership role for a seasoned professional passionate about shaping the future of the built environment through innovative technology solutions.

About the Role

The Associate Director will play a pivotal role in leading multidisciplinary technology projects, driving business development, and mentoring a high-performing team. Working closely with experts in digital strategy, smart cities, digital twins, and data analytics, the successful candidate will help clients realise their digital vision-from city master planning to building fit-outs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead project delivery across the technology discipline, ensuring technical excellence and client satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to shape and execute the discipline's growth strategy.

  • Engage with clients to develop bespoke digital strategies and technology roadmaps.

  • Promote smart building and smart city technologies, integrating them into architectural and engineering designs.

  • Manage bids, budgets, and resource allocation across multiple projects.

  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to knowledge sharing and team development.

  • Represent the discipline in industry forums and contribute to thought leadership.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a technology expert in the built environment, with a strong track record in ICT infrastructure delivery and digital transformation. They will be confident in leading teams and projects, and skilled in stakeholder engagement and strategic consulting.

Essential Experience:

  • Extensive experience in smart building technology, structured cabling, wireless networks, IoT, and passive ICT infrastructure.

  • Proven leadership in project delivery and client engagement.

  • Strong business development acumen and an existing network of industry contacts.

  • People management and mentoring experience.

  • Relevant industry qualifications and a commitment to professional development.
