Associate Counsel

About the Role

We have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Contract Attorney to support Uber for Business (U4B), a fast-growing business line within Uber, across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).

This role sits within the EMEA Product and Commercial Legal team and is based at Uber's EMEA headquarters in Amsterdam. You will partner closely with business and sales teams across the region to support U4B's continued growth through pragmatic, business-focused legal support.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including client-facing contracts, working closely with U4B sales teams across EMEA

• Draft, coordinate, review, and maintain standardised legal templates for the EMEA region

• Support and improve efficient contracting processes to help the business scale

• Create training materials and deliver training sessions related to sales outreach, contract negotiation, and legal risk awareness

• Partner with legal colleagues across EMEA and globally to align on best practices and support regional initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of legal experience

• Active license to practice law in at least one country

• Strong experience in contract drafting and negotiation

• Professional fluency in written and spoken English

• Strong academic background with a law degree from a recognised university

• Experience working with contracts across multiple jurisdictions is highly desirable

Preferred Qualifications

• In-house legal experience, ideally within a global or multinational organisation

• Experience supporting or partnering with sales and commercial teams

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Strong attention to detail and a practical, business-oriented approach to legal risk

• Additional European language skills (eg Dutch, German, Spanish, Polish) are a plus

• Interest in Uber's business, products, and mission
