Job Description
Associate Coach, Women's Basketball - Responsibilities 
- Work closely with the Head Coach on game strategy and recruit prospective student-athletes.
- Assist the Head Coach in individual skill development of student-athletes.
- Evaluate, identify, and recruit quality student-athletes in compliance with University, Atlantic 10, and NCAA regulations.
- Assist with social media promotion of the program on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
- Act as Assistant Defensive Coordinator.
- Act as interim Head Coach in the absence of the Head Coach.
- Provide individual counseling and mentoring to student-athletes and direct them to professional staff when needed.
- Provide enhanced individual skill instruction to improve team performance.
- Advise, guide, and develop players.
- Oversee game-day operations.
- Serve as equipment liaison; select, design, and order gear for program and staff.
- Conduct weekly meetings to organize staff for recruiting.
- Assist in fund raising and community service events when requested.
- Operate University-owned or leased vehicles to transport students, staff, and equipment in compliance with regulations.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a basketball coach or student athlete.
- Knowledge/skills: High level organizational skills; strong interpersonal and communication skills; commitment to building a successful program; knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations; working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Preferred: Coaching experience in an NCAA program; valid driver's license.
Minimum Starting Salary: $125,000; maximum $145,000.
