Associate - Life Sciences (London)

We are currently seeking an experienced Associate to join our Healthcare Life Sciences financial advisory practice in London.

Overview

Moelis & Company is a leading global independent investment bank that provides innovative strategic advice and solutions to a diverse client base, including corporations, governments and financial sponsors, across major industry sectors.

Responsibilities
  • Provide in-depth quantitative financial analysis as it pertains to business, industry and economic forecasting.
  • Identify emerging market trends and regulatory changes within the investment and advisory domains and develop strategies to secure investment opportunities and expand the firm's presence within the market.
  • Construct financial models, company valuations and merger & acquisition transaction comparisons based on research findings and client analysis.
  • Interpret data concerning price, yield, stability, and future trends in investment risks and economic influences relevant to investments.
  • Assist in the preparation of offering memoranda, transaction related documentation and client presentations.
  • Gather industry, regulatory, and economic information, company financial statements, financial periodicals and publications to extract relevant data on financial histories for forecasting future potentials.
Qualifications
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting and financial concepts with the ability to analyze and value businesses.
  • Some experience in Investment Banking (corporate finance/M&A) or equivalent is essential.
  • Experience in the Life Sciences space.
  • Results driven and able to perform well under pressure and against tight deadlines.
  • Proven team player who can effectively interact with a wide variety of internal groups and clients.
  • Strong multi tasking skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office suite (Excel a must) and financial reporting skills.
