Job Description
Assistant Store Manager, Tommy Hilfiger Menswear - Bicester Village

The Assistant Manager plays a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience and supporting the overall performance of the store.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the store teams to generate sales, profit, minimize losses, and create the best possible customer experience whilst ensuring the store is visually distinctive and impeccably maintained.
  • Identify opportunities to grow the business and improve performance through collaboration.
  • Maintain corporate visual merchandising directives and standards for the sales floor and back room.
  • Work alongside the visual merchandising team to ensure clear communication between VM and store teams.
  • Partner with the store management team to build on business opportunities and achieve company standards and objectives.
  • Focus staff on the importance of quality relationships with internal and external customers and ensure accountability by providing unparalleled service.
  • Complete daily and weekly store walkthroughs; evaluate product performance, pricing, staff service levels, and inventory levels.
  • Communicate to the Store Manager what is driving sales and discuss issues and priorities in order to develop strategies to maximize business and ensure weekly visual presentation action plans.
  • Analyze store level reports and create action plans to improve results.
  • Assist with manpower planning, identification, recruitment, interviewing and hiring processes; recruit store personnel with a broad range of perspectives, experiences and backgrounds.
  • Work with the Store Manager to build bench strength for key positions, including possible successors.
  • Participate in weekly management meetings alongside other staff meetings.
  • Clearly communicate to staff store and individual sales goals, key performance expectations, sales results, and provide guidance on what is needed to improve performance.
  • Provide a great customer journey and achieve exemplary mystery shop results.
Qualifications
  • Previous supervisory or specialist experience within a premium or luxury brand.
  • Prior people management experience with the ability to resolve conflict and unproductive disagreements.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to cultivate belonging.
  • Collaborative mindset, recognizing and celebrating contributions and achievements of others.
  • Ability to give courageous feedback that promotes positive behavioral change.
  • Adaptability and ability to work at pace.
  • Energetic and inspire trust by showing a clear presence on the shop floor.
  • Approach issues with a 'can do' attitude and make informed decisions to find in store solutions.
