Role OverviewThe Assistant Manager plays a key role in achieving store standards, leading by example, and inspiring their team with the brands' values. The role focuses on delivering a great store experience, driving sales, and maintaining visual and service standards in a premium/luxury retail environment.
Responsibilities- Lead store teams to generate sales and profit, minimize losses, and create an exceptional customer experience while ensuring the store is visually distinctive and impeccably maintained.
- Identify opportunities to grow the business and improve performance by collaborating with others.
- Maintain corporate visual merchandising directives and standards for sales floor and back room.
- Work with the visual merchandising team to ensure clear communication between VM and store teams.
- Partner with the store management team to build on business opportunities and achieve company standards and objectives.
- Focus staff on building relationships with customers and delivering unparalleled service to drive repeat business.
- Complete daily/weekly store walkthroughs; evaluate product performance, pricing, service levels, and inventory.
- Communicate sales drivers and priorities to the Store Manager and develop weekly visual presentation action plans.
- Analyze store-level reports and create action plans to improve results.
- Assist with manpower planning, recruitment, interviewing, and hiring; recruit personnel with diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
- Work with the Store Manager to develop bench strength for key positions and identify possible successors.
- Participate in weekly management meetings and staff meetings.
- Communicate sales goals and performance expectations to staff and provide guidance to improve performance.
- Provide a great customer journey and strive for exemplary mystery shop results.
- You connect with consumers and have supervisory or specialist experience within a premium or luxury brand.
- You have people management experience and act with purpose to resolve conflicts constructively.
- You are an effective communicator who cultivates belonging.
- You collaborate to win and recognize team contributions and achievements.
- You are courageous in giving feedback that promotes positive change.
- You adapt quickly and work with pace; you are energetic and inspire trust on the shop floor.
