Assistant Site Manager - education, blue light or leisure experience

An Assistant Site Manager is required to join Willmott Dixon's one team ethos which delivers quality projects on time whilst also having a positive impact on the local community.

Our aim is to be part of a team where you will work across multiple sectors including education, defence and health where you can develop your career and progress into more senior roles.

Reporting and supported by the project lead the successful candidate will assist in managing the delivery of projects safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality.

NB. We have multiple exciting project allocation options located throughout the north London, the northern home counties and East Anglia.

Key responsibilities
  • Support and manage the delivery of projects safely, on time, and to the highest quality.
  • Organise works and supply chain to provide a right working environment to avoid disruption between trades and maintain an excellent site image.
  • Eliminate waste and avoid non-recoverable costs to help towards the commercial success of the project.
  • Follow short-term programmes, control operations, and monitor progress daily to achieve delivery of the project.
  • Understand project priorities and adopt a professional and considerate approach to maintain good working relations with the supply chain and key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the success of the project handover and ensure a defect/snag free completion.
  • Lead by example with a positive can-do attitude.
Qualifications
  • Experience in working within a construction team, delivering projects across various sectors.
  • Experience in managing supply chain partners and trades direct employees.
  • Appropriate CSCS card, SMSTS certificate and First Aid at Work certificate.
  • Computer literate with proven use of Microsoft Office suite, MS Project or ASTA, and the ability to use Common Data Environments such as Nialli, Dalux, Fieldview.
  • Ability to understand programmes, drawings and technical specifications.
  • Valid driving licence.
