Assistant Site Manager

Due to rapid growth and continuous success we are delighted to confirm that we are currently seeking an Assistant Site Manager to join our team in Birmingham.
This is a permanent full time position delivering Retrofit, Construction and external refurbishment programmes.
The CustomerThis will be working within our successful West Midlands Projects division delivering Retrofit and Construction across the Birmingham regions.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssistant Site Manager responsibilities include:
- To Assist with the management and safe delivery of the social housing refurbishment works
- Ensure safe, effective and timely delivery of construction operations
- Reporting into the Site Manager you will have responsibility for all contractors and operational refurbishment/construction across tenanted properties
- To ensure all works carried out comply with BS7671 and any other relevant standards.
- To ensure that works instructions issued to trades or subcontractors are clear, unambiguous and represent a full and fair days' workload, at all times seeking to maximise productivity.
- Carry out Ad Hoc safety inspections on supply chain partners
- Carry out Quality Inspections on all works
- Organise work activity and prioritisation for the team
- Complete an accident form in the presence of an injury
- Managing the Welfare facilities on site
- Supporting tenants on a daily basis and achieving excellent customer satisfaction
- Construction/refurbishment experience, ideally at Assistant Site Manager level
- Full driving licence
- Supervisory or Management experience (mainly sub-contractors).
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Problem solving skills, analytical capability
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to engage people and build strong working relations with trades, colleagues, client and managers
- Worked in a planned works environment/site
- Experience in social housing repairs and maintenance
