Assistant Shop Manager

Assistant Shop Manager - Easter Road, EH7 5RH

35 hours per week (additional hours may be available).

As our Assistant Shop Manager, you will work various shifts that change weekly, including weekends (when rostered), between 5:00 am and 4:15 pm. You must be able to commit to this schedule.

Requirements: Previous supervisory or management experience.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver excellent customer service consistently.
• Assist the shop manager with operational standards.
• Help schedule staff rotas.
• Support new colleagues with induction and training.
• Ensure compliance with food hygiene, legal, and health & safety standards.
• Maintain high standards within the shop.
• Follow cash and security procedures.
• Ensure product quality throughout the day.
• Support team development.
• Manage colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
• Remain hands-on in serving, baking, making filled rolls, and hot drinks.

Required skills and experience:

• Supervisory experience in retail, preferably within the food-to-go industry.
• Confident and enthusiastic attitude.
• Experience in achieving KPIs and profitability.
• Experience managing stock.
