Assistant Room Service Manager

The Merrion Hotel has partnered with Flow Hospitality Training to provide a bespoke learning management system for all of our team members. The Merrion is the first hotel in Ireland to provide accredited and tailor made training via Flow Hospitality Training.

The Merrion Hotel, one of Dublin's finest luxury hotels, is currently recruiting for an Assistant Room Service Manager to join our Food & Beverage team. Centrally located in Dublin and easily accessible by public transport, this role offers the opportunity to work in a beautiful five-star hotel where exceptional service standards are at the heart of everything we do. Working alongside an experienced management team, you will receive excellent training and support while developing your career in luxury hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the daily operation of the Room Service department alongside the management team
• Supervise and support room service team members during service
• Ensure the delivery of consistent, high-quality guest service
• Assist with staff organisation, training, and maintaining service standards
• Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure smooth service for our guests

Working Hours

• 39 hours per week
• Shift work required including weekdays and weekends
• Typical shifts include 6:00am - 2:30pm or 2:30pm - 11:00pm

The successful candidate will:

• Have a strong guest service focus
• Possess excellent communication and organisational skills
• Be confident leading and supporting a team
• Demonstrate strong multitasking abilities in a busy environment
• Have excellent spoken and written English
• Be flexible and adaptable to meet guest and business needs
• Previous experience in hotel food & beverage or room service operations is desirable.
