Assistant Quality Systems Manager
Location: Shercock, County Cavan
Full time - Permanent
We are seeking a detail oriented and proactive Assistant Quality Systems Manager to join our team. This is a key role within our Quality function, supporting the maintenance, development, and continuous improvement of our Food Safety & Quality Management Systems.
The successful candidate will work closely with cross functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, customer requirements, and internal policies - helping us deliver safe, high quality products every time.
What You'll Do- Support HACCP, VACCP & TACCP activities and food safety risk assessments.
- Assist with regulatory, third party and customer audits, ensuring full audit readiness.
- Manage CAPA processes to ensure timely and effective close out of actions.
- Participate in Supplier Approval and ongoing supplier evaluations.
- Conduct internal audits as part of the Internal Auditing Team.
- Support pest management and ensure compliance with prevention programmes.
- Monitor processing standards, including GMP, cleaning effectiveness, and quality control checks.
- Maintain and update document control for the Food Safety Management System.
- Review SOPs, policies, procedures, and records to ensure they are current and correctly implemented.
- Experience in Quality, Technical, or Food Safety within a food or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety systems and regulatory requirements.
- HACCP training or internal auditing experience (desirable).
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Confident communicator with the ability to work cross functionally.
- A proactive, problem solving approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
