Assistant Project Manager

You will work as a key member of the project delivery team based at the Town Hall. The team sits within the Asset Management directorate and forms part of multiple project teams delivering major refurbishment programmes to the Council's Housing stock.
This is an excellent opportunity for an assistant project manager working on smaller projects who is looking to grow their career in a well versed and dynamic team.
You will lead on a mix of small- and large- scale projects, alongside support from the project team. In addition to this the project manager will provide relevant supervision, shadowing and regular feedback to assist developing your skills within this role.
You will be expected to manage schemes identified as part of the Council's stock condition data and ensure these are delivered in line with current legislation and the Council's policies and procedures. You will also be responsible for liaising with the Council's procurement team ahead of appointing a contractor, and where applicable be able to progress projects through the Section 20 process.
In the absence of the project manager, you will be expected to deputise for the team.
