Your new role
As an Assistant / Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of projects. You will directly shadow the Contracts Manager, gaining invaluable experience and insights into contract management. Your responsibilities will include ensuring programmes are being followed, monitoring project timelines, and ensuring all activities are completed as scheduled.
You will also be responsible for keeping reporting accurate and up to date, maintaining detailed and accurate reports on project progress, budgets, and any issues that arise. Additionally, you will oversee the implementation of construction plans, manage subcontractors, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. This role involves being site based to oversee project progress and liaise with stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed.
The ideal candidate will be studying or recently qualified with a construction-related degree at a UK college or university, and demonstrate strong numerical skills with excellent attention to detail or you will be an experienced Project Manager that has worked previously within the housebuilding sector.
Excellent communication skills are essential for liaising with clients, subcontractors, and team members. Flexibility and adaptability are important, as the role requires frequent travel and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements. Additionally, strong problem-solving skills are necessary to identify and resolve issues promptly to keep projects on track.
