Job Title: Assistant Project Manager / Assistant Contracts Manager - DM47334

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (DOE)

Location: Solihull, West Midlands (Office-Based with Travel Across England)

Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Project Manager / Assistant Contracts Manager to join an established refurbishment and fit-out contractor with over 30 years of experience delivering projects across the UK.Based from the company's Solihull office, the business specialises in higher education, commercial refurbishment, healthcare and public sector projects, delivering schemes ranging from £10,000 to £10 million. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to strengthen their delivery team with an ambitious individual looking to develop their career within project and contracts management.Working alongside experienced Project Managers, Contracts Managers and Directors, you will assist with the delivery of refurbishment and fit-out projects from pre-construction through to completion, gaining exposure to all aspects of project management within a supportive and growing business.

Job Requirements
  • Previous experience within an Assistant Project Manager, Assistant Contracts Manager, Site Manager or similar construction role
  • Experience delivering refurbishment, fit-out or general construction projects
  • Construction-related qualification (Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent) desirable
  • CSCS Card
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to assist in programme and project delivery
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Willingness to travel throughout England as required

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the delivery of Design & Build refurbishment and fit-out projects from inception through to completion
  • Support the management of project programmes, procurement and project resources
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and design teams
  • Assist with client liaison and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders
  • Support project planning, reporting and programme management
  • Help ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards
  • Monitor health & safety compliance and company procedures across live sites
  • Assist with project handovers and completion documentation
  • Work closely with senior management to support the successful delivery of multiple projects across England
