Assistant Professor (Teaching & Scholarship) in Transport Planning. Full time, permanent. Location: London, Devon House (St Katherines Dock). Salary: £49,469 - £60,795 per annum (Grade8). Start: 1st January2027 or by arrangement.
Responsibilities- Design and deliver modules for NU London's BSc (Hons) Transport Planning programme, primarily asynchronous and online.
- Lead design and delivery of the following courses: Investment and Procurement; UK Transport Policy and Governance; Policy and Governance Fundamentals; Control, Regulation, and Competitions.
- Provide general service to the University across faculties and the Centre for Apprenticeships.
- Support Degree Apprentices, executive education and innovative teaching, learning and assessment.
- PhD completed or near completion, or equivalent professional experience in a relevant area.
- FHEA status, or equivalent, achieved or expected.
- Evidence of teaching transport policy, planning, appraisal, regulation and stakeholder engagement at a high standard.
- Willingness and capacity for continuous professional development in areas such as AI, technology, data, sustainability and ethics.
- Teaching competency in transport planning at least Level6.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills, face to face and online.
