We're looking for an experienced and people-focused Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in leading a high-performing Kitchen team, delivering outstanding food quality, developing people, and driving operational excellence.

What We're Looking For

• Previous management experience in hospitality, food production, catering, or another fast-paced food-focused environment
• A passion for developing people and building strong teams
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and operational standards
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• A positive, hands on leadership style
• Strong organizational and problem solving abilities
• Confidence leading busy shifts and making decisions under pressure
• The ability to thrive in a fast moving environment
• A commitment to delivering exceptional quality and consistency
• A desire to build a long term career and develop future leaders

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting the General Manager in building a strong Family Tree and succession plan for the Kitchen team
• Leading, coaching and developing team members to reach their full potential
• Driving Team Happiness by role modelling Pret's Values and Behaviours
• Creating a positive, engaging and inclusive team culture
• Leading shifts and ensuring excellent day to day Kitchen operations
• Maintaining exceptional food quality, food safety and hygiene standards
• Ensuring all products are prepared and presented according to Pret standards
• Driving availability and production standards throughout the day
• Managing stock, ordering processes and minimizing waste
• Supporting recruitment, training, legal compliance training and graduations
• Completing regular 1:1s and supporting team development plans
• Working closely with Front of House teams to deliver great customer experience
• Supporting productivity, labour control and shop profitability
