Position Description: This management position is within the alternatives unit of SEI and will involve supporting the manager in the running of the Investor Services team. Candidates must have a high level of understanding of Private Market structures and the associated transfer agency process of such structures.
Responsibilities- Assist with the management of the Investor Services Private Equity team within SEI.
- Ensure a smooth investor account opening process.
- Ensure investor requests for information are dealt with efficiently.
- Ensure the quality of work is maintained at a high standard and that all investor correspondence is sent timely and accurately.
- Ensure all payments made to investors are accurate.
- Assist with the review of Limited Partnership Agreements and OMs pre launch of each Fund and identify potential operating issues.
- Develop relationships with all client contacts including investment professionals, investors, lawyers, auditors and banking personnel.
- Supervise staff on systems, processing, procedures and job responsibilities; train, coach and mentor new employees, develop and motivate staff within the sub unit; provide input and feedback regarding employees' ongoing performance/development/appraisals; organize and run team meetings.
- Work closely with the Private Equity Fund Accounting team.
- Meet all reporting deliverables and enforce adherence to service standards and specified deadlines.
- Generate ideas and ongoing assessment of operational service model for improvement.
- Maintain good working relationships with external clients, investors and internal relationship managers, as well as other business units within SEI.
- Assist in the development and implementation of departmental procedures.
- Carry out all duties assigned under the Company's Safety Statement to ensure Health, Safety and Wellbeing for all employees for whom you have responsibility.
- Work on projects or ad hoc tasks as required.
- At least 5 years' experience in a transfer agency role, with at least 3 years in a Private Equity role.
- Experience in working on a Private Equity accounting system, preferably Investran.
- Strong knowledge of Private Equity structures and various fund domiciles regulatory requirements.
- Strong understanding of the capital call process, sub closes, equalisation, distributions and waterfall calculations.
- Experience in reviewing Limited Partnership Agreements and OMs.
- Understanding of AML regulations.
- Experience in supervisory/management skills and/or coaching/mentoring.
- Proficiency in PC applications.
- Third level degree in Finance or a related field.
- Strong oral, written communication and presentation skills.

- Fluency in English (both verbal and written).
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Ability to take initiative and ownership of responsibilities.
