The team operates on a national platform, bringing together specialists from across the UK to deliver best-in-class advice to a diverse client base ranging from multinational groups and private equity investors through to owner-managed businesses and fast-growth companies.
The RoleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Manager to join a market-leading M&A Tax team. You'll advise on the tax implications of a broad range of transactions, working as part of multidisciplinary deal teams throughout the transaction lifecycle.
This role offers exposure to high-profile M&A projects, private equity transactions, business restructurings and real estate-related deals, providing an excellent platform for professional development and progression within a collaborative and commercially focused environment.
Key Responsibilities- Support the delivery of bespoke tax advice on acquisitions, disposals, restructurings and other strategic transactions.
- Work closely with colleagues across Deals, Corporate Tax and Transaction Services to provide integrated client solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and internal teams.
- Collaborate with overseas tax specialists and wider international networks on cross-border engagements.
- Support and coach junior team members, contributing to their development and success.
- Participate in business development initiatives, helping identify opportunities with both existing and prospective clients.
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports, presentations and client deliverables.
The successful candidate is likely to have:
- CTA or an equivalent professional qualification.
- Experience within Deals Tax, M&A Tax, Corporate Tax or a related advisory environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships effectively.
- Commercial awareness and an interest in transaction-driven work.
- Experience working on complex tax matters within a fast-paced client-facing environment.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
