Department: Public Works Grade: 230 Salary: $29.84/hour Job Duties: Manages functions including timekeeping, human resources activities, inventories for fleet and operations, and reports; coordinates building/groundskeeping needs and repairs. On call 24/7 for inclement weather and emergencies; researches training opportunities for operations, fleet, and administrative staff, and recommends training to management; assists with the annual road program, ice and snow removal, and annual work plan. Coordinates operations within the department and ensures requests for service is investigated; visits jobsites during construction season; and is liaison for the department dealing with internal and external customers and stakeholders. Responsible for assisting in the preparation of an annual budget for procurement of goods and services for the department. Minimum Qualifications: Associate's Degree or the equivalent. Specialized training or certification in a related field may be required. Five years of public administrative experience in the public or private sector. A combination of relevant education and experience will be considered. Must possess a valid Class B CDL or obtain a Class B commercial driver's license with air brake endorsement within six months of hire.
