We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Farm Manager to join and support the Oxfordshire team.
Key Responsibilities- Support all aspects of crop production, including planting, crop monitoring, and harvesting.
- Assist in achieving crop yield, quality, and budget targets.
- Promote and maintain high standards of Health & Safety across the farm.
- Plan and coordinate labour requirements, particularly during peak and harvest periods.
- Oversee the efficient use of farm machinery and ensure maintenance schedules are followed.
- Maintain accurate records of machinery and farm assets.
- Manage supplier relationships and ensure best value for goods and services.
- Support, motivate, and develop farm employees through effective communication and leadership.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency and performance. Build positive working relationships across the wider business.
- Undertake training and any other duties appropriate to the role.
- Previous experience in an Assistant Farm Manager or similar agricultural role.
- Good knowledge of crop production and modern farming practices.
- Experience coordinating labour and farm operations.
- Understanding of agricultural machinery and maintenance requirements.
- Strong organisational and IT skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Relevant agricultural qualifications are desirable.
- Professional, proactive, and adaptable approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to take ownership and responsibility for tasks.
