We are currently seeking a Assistant Estate Maintenance Manager to join our team at our luxury hotel. This full-time role is ideal for a proactive and hands-on individual with strong attention to detail and a passion for maintaining the highest standards.

Working closely with the Estate Maintenance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the hotel's facilities, equipment, buildings, and grounds are maintained to an exceptional standard. You will support the day-to-day operation of the maintenance department while helping to deliver operational excellence and an outstanding guest experience.

Employment type: Full Time

Working pattern: 5 Days over 7 Days (including weekends and some Public Holidays)

Key Responsibilities as an Assistant Estate Maintenance Manager:

• To assist the Estate Maintenance Manager in maintaining all areas of the hotel to the highest possible standards
• Support the daily operation of the maintenance department, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and in line with company standards
• Supervise and assist the maintenance team, providing guidance and support where required
• Take a hands-on approach to maintenance duties, carrying out repairs and preventative maintenance across the property
• Assist in monitoring maintenance budgets and controlling costs in line with departmental objectives
• Liaise with suppliers and contractors, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required standard
• Support compliance with all Health & Safety policies and relevant legislation across maintenance operations
• Assist in managing waste control systems in line with environmental legislation and best practice
• Coordinate purchasing and inventory of maintenance supplies in accordance with company procedures
• Conduct routine checks on fire safety equipment and emergency lighting systems, ensuring any issues are promptly addressed
• Assist in the planning and scheduling of daily, weekly, and long-term maintenance activities
• Work closely with senior management and Accommodation on refurbishment projects, upgrades, and preventative maintenance programmes
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, reporting systems, and call-out logs
• Support the ongoing improvement and upkeep of the hotel's buildings, plant, machinery, facilities, and grounds
• Deputise for the Estate Maintenance Manager in their absence when required

What are we looking for?

• Proven experience in a maintenance or facilities role, ideally within a luxury hospitality environment
• Demonstrate strong technical expertise (electrical/mechanical background preferred) and a flexible, hands-on approach to all aspects of hotel maintenance
• Be available for call-outs and adaptable to the operational needs of a luxury hotel environment
• A relevant trade qualification or certification (desirable)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
• Good organisational and leadership abilities
• A team player with strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
