We are hiring Assistant Director of Nursing-Maternity Cover to a leading nursing care home in Dublin, Ireland.

Location: On-site, Dublin

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Responsibilities
  • Support the Director of Nursing/Person in Charge (PIC) in providing clinical, operational, and professional leadership to the nursing and care teams.
  • Oversee and supervise the delivery of high quality, person-centred care to residents.
  • Ensure resident safety is maintained through the implementation of best clinical practices and quality standards.
  • Promote a culture that respects the privacy, dignity, independence, and rights of all residents.
  • Monitor care practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, organisational policies, and professional standards.
  • Provide clinical guidance, mentorship, and support to nursing and healthcare staff.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of care quality through effective leadership, supervision, and performance monitoring.
  • Foster a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to resident care to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Requirements
  • Recognised nursing qualification.
  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
  • Minimum of 3 years' post-registration nursing experience in the care of older persons within the previous 6 years.
  • At least 3 years' management experience within a health or social care setting.
  • Strong clinical knowledge with a comprehensive understanding of best practices and emerging trends in older person care.
  • Post-registration qualification in healthcare management or a related discipline.
  • Management qualification or Higher Diploma in Gerontology is desirable.
  • Proven leadership, team management, and decision-making skills.
  • Previous experience in an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) role is advantageous.
