We are hiringAssistant Director of Nursing to a Nursing Home in Dublin, Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Act as Person-in-Charge in the absence of the Director of Nursing, ensuring compliance with relevant healthcare legislation, regulations, and quality standards.
  
• Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, infection prevention, and food safety throughout the facility.
  
• Collaborate with senior management to oversee housekeeping, catering, maintenance, and administrative services.
  
• Support clinical management by delivering resident care, liaising with residents and families, supervising staff, monitoring clinical standards, developing policies, and facilitating staff education.
  
• Coordinate quality assurance, patient safety initiatives, clinical governance, and risk management systems.
  
• Conduct regular staff coaching, performance reviews, and professional development activities.
  
• Assist with employee relations, including grievance and disciplinary processes, in partnership with Human Resources.
  
• Coordinate staff rostering, workforce planning, and day-to-day team management alongside the senior leadership team.
  
• Lead by example, promoting professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and high standards of care.
  
• Contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of organisational policies, procedures, and quality standards
  

• Registered General Nurse with a minimum of 7 years of post-registration nursing experience.
  
• At least 3 years' recent experience in the care of older adults within the last 6 years.
  
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and inspection processes for residential care services.
  
• Third-level qualification in Management or a related leadership discipline.
  
• Proven ability to manage workload effectively while adapting to changing priorities and operational demands.
  
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous quality improvement, professional development, and change management.
  
• Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence positive outcomes.
  
• Experience promoting quality assurance initiatives, establishing clinical benchmarks, and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in collaboration with senior leadership.
  
• Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work outside standard hours when required.
