Job Description

We are Hiringan Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to a leading Nursing home in Clare, Ireland.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct internal audits and ensure timely follow-up on findings and action plans
- Lead staff induction programmes and support ongoing training and development initiatives
- Encourage and promote innovative practices in care delivery
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, procedures, and HIQA standards
- Organise and facilitate regular communication meetings with clinical staff
- Build strong relationships with external community agencies and support resident participation in local activities
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to enhance the Home's profile within the local community
- Implement and monitor the Company Health & Safety Policy to protect staff, residents, and visitors
- Coordinate regular fire training sessions and maintain effective evacuation procedures
- Maintain the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the Home
- Ensure a preventative maintenance programme is in place and effectively managed
- Participate in recruitment, including interviewing and selection of staff
- Conduct regular training needs analysis to support staff development
- Provide cover for the Director of Nursing when required
- Ensure clinical practices within the Home meet all relevant regulations and standards
- Registered Nurse with a minimum of 3 years' management experience within the last 6 years, specifically in the care of older persons
- Post-registration qualification in management, healthcare, or a related field
- Proven track record in clinical management within a healthcare environment
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and deliver results
- Ability to work collaboratively and foster a positive team environment
- Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to meet the evolving needs of the organisation
