We are Hiringan Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to a leading Nursing home in Dublin, Ireland.
Permanent/full time
Responsibilities- Conduct internal audits and implement corrective actions where required.
- Lead staff induction, training, and ongoing professional development.
- Promote innovative and evidence-based clinical practices.
- Ensure compliance with HIQA standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Facilitate regular communication and engagement meetings with clinical staff.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community agencies and local organizations.
- Support marketing and community engagement initiatives to enhance the home's profile.
- Implement and monitor Health & Safety policies, including fire safety and emergency preparedness.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and infection prevention.
- Oversee preventative maintenance programmes to ensure a safe environment.
- Participate in staff recruitment, selection, and workforce planning activities.
- Conduct regular training needs assessments and support staff development.
- Provide cover for the Director of Nursing as required.
- Ensure the delivery of safe, high quality care in line with regulatory and quality standards.
- Qualified Registered Nurse with a minimum of 3 years' management experience within the last 6 years in older person care.
- Hold a post registration management qualification in healthcare or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical leadership and healthcare management.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to make sound decisions and deliver results.
- Ability to work collaboratively and foster a positive team environment.
- Flexible, adaptable, and responsive to the evolving needs of the organization.
