Hartlepool is a vibrant and energetic Borough, home to beautiful natural assets alongside exciting development and regeneration opportunities, creating jobs, building new homes and infrastructure, and investing in our communities to create places that our residents and visitors can be proud of. As an authority, we want to make Hartlepool thrive, and we seek dedicated and driven colleagues to help us achieve our goal.

Working within the newly created housing, communities and growth directorate, this new role, Assistant Director of Inclusive Growth, will be at the forefront of shaping the economic wellbeing and future of Hartlepool, driving strategies that promote sustainable growth, encourage inward investment, tackle inequalities and ensure that prosperity is shared across all communities. You will develop and implement strategies that enable local residents to access education and skills that equip them to be active participants in the local economy and be successful in the local employment market that is thriving with new opportunities. Working closely with partners in business, education and the voluntary sector, you'll lead initiatives that attract inward investment, create quality jobs and foster skills development. You will also lead our thriving cultural offer and promote our creative industries, which is a local success story, as seen in the £multi-million investment in the Screen Industries Production Village.

As Assistant Director, you will be passionate about driving growth that benefits everyone in our community, linking education and skills opportunities with jobs and growth within our borough. Working in partnership will be key with local stakeholders and businesses, education and skills organisations, regional partners and of course the Combined Authority. We seek someone who merges strategic vision with practical delivery and will bring the passion to ensure the potential of our borough can be accessed by everyone.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in an ambitious and supportive environment, with colleagues committed to making Hartlepool's future bright. For an informal and confidential discussion, please contact our advising consultants at GatenbySanderson: Duncan Collins ().
